Our client was fortunate to have an excellent Organisational Development team full of bright, committed individuals that got on well and enjoyed each other's company. The team had grown very quickly and was suffering with a lack of systems and processes with which to communicate effectively, make decisions, solve problems and prioritise work. The remit of their work had grown too, as everyone was saying yes to requests. We identified that this was partly because whilst the team did share a vision and values about what they were trying to achieve, they didn't have a clealry defined strategy, or a method of working together to produce one. In the end, we ran three away days with the team to:
- Identify how people were using their time and prioritising requests
- Decide on systems and processes for communication and decision-making
- Define the bones of a strategy and how they would work together to flesh it out.
